Instructions for using Torque with OBDCheck BLE on Android

Torque Lite/Pro

Click on the "Download" button bellow to go directly to the Google Play Store for downloading.

Step 1

Locate the OBD II Port in Your Car

Find the OBD II port in your vehicle. It is typically located under the dashboard near the driver's seat.

Step 2

Insert OBDCheck BLE into the OBD II Port

Plug the OBDCheck BLE device into your car's OBD II port. You should see a blue power indicator light up. If the light does not turn on, remove the OBDCheck BLE and reinsert it firmly into the OBD II port.

Step 3

Download Torque Lite or Pro from the Google Play

Search for "Torque Lite" or "Torque Pro"in the Google Play and download the application.

Step 4

Pair Your Phone with OBDCheck BLE via Bluetooth

Go to the "Settings" menu on your phone and open the Bluetooth settings. Depending on your device, this might be labelled as “Bluetooth” or “Connected Device” on some Android versions. Enable Bluetooth and select "Pair New Device." Find the Bluetooth device named “VEEPEAK” and tap to pair. When prompted, enter the PIN code “1234.” Once paired, you will see “VEEPEAK” listed under "saved,""paired," or "Previously Connected" devices.

Step 5

Configuring the Torque App

Launch the Torque app on your Android device.
Go to the settings menu (gear icon) within the app.
Tap on “OBD2 Bluetooth Settings”. Ensure “Connection Type” is set to “Bluetooth”. Under “Choose Bluetooth Device”, select “VEEPEAK” from the list of paired devices.

Step 6

Connecting and Monitoring

After configuration, Torque should connect to the VEEPEAK adapter automatically.
Check the icons in the top right of the screen; they should turn blue and stay solid when connected.
Torque will now read sensor data from the ECU, allowing you to view real-time vehicle information.
To ensure a faster and more stable connection, consider closing the app and then reopening it.
