Instructions for using Car Scanner with OBDCheck VP11 on Android

Step 1
Locate the OBD II Port in Your Car
Find the OBD II port in your vehicle. It is typically located under the dashboard near the driver's seat.
Step 2
Insert OBDCheck VP11 into the OBD II Port
Plug the OBDCheck VP11 device into your car's OBD II port. You should see a red power indicator light up. If the light does not turn on, remove the OBDCheck VP11 and reinsert it firmly into the OBD II port.

Download Car Scanner ELM OBD2 from the Google Play
Search for "Car Scanner ELM OBD2" in the Google Play and download the application.
Step 4
Pair Your Phone with OBDCheck VP11 via Bluetooth
Go to the "Settings" menu on your phone and open the Bluetooth settings. Depending on your device, this might be labelled as “Bluetooth” or “Connected Device” on some Android versions. Enable Bluetooth and select "Pair New Device." Find the Bluetooth device named “OBDII” and tap to pair. When prompted, enter the PIN code “1234.” Once paired, you will see “OBDII” listed under "saved,""paired," or "Previously Connected" devices.

Configure the Adapter in Car Scanner App
Launch the Car Scanner app. From the app's home screen, tap on "Settings," then select "Adapter OBDII ELM327." Under "Choose connection type," select “Bluetooth.” Next, in the "Select device" section, choose “OBDII” as the "Device Name."
Step 6
Set Up the Connection Profile in the App
Return to the "Settings" menu in the app and tap on "Connection profile." Select the appropriate brand of your vehicle, and then choose the specific profile for your vehicle. If your vehicle series is not listed, select the basic “OBD-II/EOBD” profile.
Step 7
Connect the App to Your Vehicle
Go back to the app's home screen and tap the "Connect" button at the bottom. Be patient as the app attempts to connect to the ELM and ECU. The initial connection might take longer. If the connection fails, try reconnecting.
Step 8
Utilize the App's Features
Once connected successfully, you can start using the app's various features to meet your needs.
