Instructions for using Car Scanner with OBDCheck VP01 on Android

Step 1

Locate the OBD II Port in Your Car

Find the OBD II port in your vehicle. It is typically located under the dashboard near the driver's seat.

Step 2

Insert OBDCheck VP01 into the OBD II Port

Plug the OBDCheck VP01 device into your car's OBD II port. If you cannot see a WiFi signal named "WiFi_OBDII" in the system's WiFi settings, remove the OBDCheck VP01 and reinsert it firmly into the OBD II port.

Step 3

Download Car Scanner ELM OBD2 from the Google Play

Search for "Car Scanner ELM OBD2" in the Google Play and download the application.

Step 4

WiFi Connection

Connect to the WiFi signal named "WiFi_OBDII" in the system settings.

Step 5

Launch Car Scanner ELM OBD2 and Complete Initial Setup

Open the Car Scanner ELM OBD2 app. If it's your first time opening the app, you will be prompted to complete some initial setup for the app and enter information about your vehicle.

Step 6

Configure the Adapter in the App

From the app's home screen, find and tap on "Settings." Within the settings menu, navigate to "Adapter OBD II ELM327." Select "Wi-Fi".

Step 7

Connect the App to OBDCheck VP01 and Your Vehicle

Return to the app's home screen and tap the "Connect" button at the bottom of the screen. Wait for the app to establish a connection with the OBDCheck VP01 and your vehicle. The first connection attempt may take longer, so please be patient. The app will show "ELM Connection" and "ECU Connection" when successfully connected. If either connection fails, tap "Disconnect" and then try "Connect" again.

Step 8

Start Using the App's Features

Once connected, you can begin exploring and using various features of the app to monitor and manage your vehicle's data.
